For the past few months, I’ve been pretty consistent in my healthy eating habits journey; and I have to say that I’m happy about the changes that I’m seeing. We all know how beneficial it is for our overall health to eat clean. But most of the time, what we lack, once we made the decision to make a change and start the journey to a healthier, new, and fabulous us, is the ability to stay on that path. Clean eating can be challenging but not hard. Just like for most things in life, discipline is key! #MindOverMatter.
Green smoothie has been part of my eating habit for a while now and I can’t tell you enough about how well and energized I feel when I stick to it! I usually start my day with a glass of smoothie. This would be my breakfast and I’m ready to got out there and conquer the world! 🙂 Once in a while, I will do a total green smoothie cleanse, but the goal is to drink green smoothies everyday or as often as possible. That been said, I’m sure you’ve heard all the impressive nutritional benefits about drinking green smoothies or juicing. The energy that you gain, the clarity of mind, the radiant and healthy skin tone and hair, the overall healthier state and feeling… I can testify to all of the above.
A well-made smoothie is a powerhouse of nutrients. This would be debatable for people who believe green smoothies are either packed with lots of sugar – Natural sugar from the fruits – for example or that green smoothies can cause a lot of constipation and bloating etc, or that juicing lacks most of the nutrients… However, some of these issues can be avoided on both parts. For example, Using more greens and less fruits/choosing certain fruits is a great way in reducing the amount of sugar in your smoothies; making sure the smoothie is thoroughly blended and/or “chewing” your smoothie, drinking lots of water can help in reducing constipation or bloating.
The thing is, there are always pros and cons to most of the foods we’re eating, and we all have our opinions on if either something is good for us or not! This is the great thing about bio-individuality – we owe it to ourselves to choose what works best for us; and that’s actually a privilege!
If you’re all for it, you may try these smoothie recipes.

2 tablespoon ground flax seeds
Stevia (Or any taste enhancer) for taste
