How I took a leap of Faith and left my 9-5 Lifestyle.

How I took a LOF

Happy Friday loves!

I hope you made it through the first week of April like champions! I have a flight to catch in few hours but before that, there’s something I want to share with you. I was invited to partake in a guest post series on my blogger friend Tyler’s blog; and it is a great honor and blessing for me to be able to share my story about how I took a leap of faith and left the corporate world with her readers! Thank you GirlTyler!

This is a topic near and dear to my heart; and I believe it is relatable to anyone having second thoughts about their career moves. If my story can inspire or motivate someone out there to believe in themselves and take a leap of faith in any aspect of their life, I will take that! After all, that is the reason behind my eagerness to share it with the world. You can believe that we’re not alone in whatever situation we’re going through. Our stories may not be the exact same ones, but truth be told, there’s always a similarity to them.

When we’re facing a conflict situation, we often put all the focus on ourselves – which is totally natural – and until we finally come to realize that we may not be alone, that focus shuts our mind to solutions… However, realizing that we may not be alone actually gives us a certain sense of relief. A relief and courage to keep through while praying and hoping for a change, knowing that there are other people who understand where we’re coming from, who can relate to our challenges, our pains, our frustrations, etc… Whatever the case may be, joyful or sorrowful, we are most definitely not alone.

The thing is, every story matters! Whether they are told or not, they are part of who we are, where we came from, where we are today, and where we want to be. You don’t know who’s listening, you don’t know whose life your story might change or impact; At the end of the day, you have to be at ease and at peace about opening up to the world; and once you are comfortable using your voice and making your story heard, you can rest assured that someone out there is listening!

I’ve been asked before “How do you feel about sharing some aspects of your life here on the blog?”. To be honest with you, I have come a long way; even though I don’t necessarily think that I share anything as private about me or my loved ones that shouldn’t be disclosed here, or that should be kept secret whatsoever. Those who know me well, would tell you how private of a person I am and quite honestly, I still am. The only difference is, I chose to listen to the call of my soul and live a life of purpose.

Where I come from, this popular saying “Vivons caches pour vivre heureux” (which means, to live a happy life, one must live a very discrete life) is what most people (including myself) are taught to live by. Makes sense! Makes great sense; but at the end of the day, you have to do what you believe is best for you and your entourage. You have to live in Faith! The fact of the matter is when you follow the call of your soul, magic happens! Absolute magic!
