Hello there and happy Friday!!
What are you reading?! Yes, literally… What books are you reading these days? I would love to know.
I’m always in the hunt for great additions to my book collection; and It’s always nice knowing what others are reading, what they love about it or why they would recommend a certain book. I think I’ve stated my love for reading here on the blog before, and quite honestly that love just keeps on growing.
I believe one must read as often as they can. I’m not talking Facebook updates, Twitter or labels on a package. Not even celeb gossips! 😛 When was the last time you read a book or a substantial magazine article? Yes, that’s what I’m talking about. Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.

The benefits of reading are countless and highly significant.
Mental stimulation: Use it or lose it! You may not know it, but the brain requires constant use and stimulation to keep its power. Stress relief: It’s amazing how a great novel or story can help you alleviate a great deal of the stress you encounter during the day.
Vocabulary Expansion: an obvious benefit! The more you read, the more words and expressions you learn. We never cease to learn, and reading helps you gain more knowledge: Your ability or chance of equipping yourself with more information, whether it’s cultural, political, social, etc… is proven through reading. We all want to be able to carry on a conversation and face anything that is thrown at us to challenge our intelligence.
I love this popular belief that says “you may lose your job, your dignity, your fame, etc… but your knowledge can never be taken away from you!” Beside the benefits listed above, some other benefits of reading are Better writing skills, Memory improvement, Tranquility, Improved focus, Entertainment, stronger Analytical thinking… and much more!
