Mixing prints and patterns can be a “scary” thing to do! Especially when you come from a fashionable yet conservative family were certain things are considered Fashion faux-pas, you would grow up with certain beliefs and mindset until you experience and evolve with your own style. Even just a couple of years ago, I probably wouldn’t have paired floral with floral… I have to admit that for me, it would just be a bit too much going on. Although, I honestly think that when done right, mixing prints, patterns, and colors is fun and looks good. As you can probably see here, I’m still a little shy about the whole mixing prints and patterns thing; and it may not be obvious with this look, but I am evolving. 🙂 I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but I actually can’t wait to share an #ootd with you where I’m mixing bold prints, patterns, or colors to create a fun yet chic look. Fashion is all about taking risks, stepping out your comfort zones (sometimes), and having fun doing it, right!?
I adore these floral shoes! In fact I styled them with a print maxi in this post, and very similar ones with a print blazer here! Ha! I told you I’m trying… 🙂 They’re probably my new favorite summer shoes. This floral skirt is an oldie but a goodie. (Also seen here) What if I told you, I’m wearing one of my sexiest little black dresses as a top, tucked in the skirt in this post? Yes, you can check out how I styled the dress here… But let’s talk about this statement fringed necklace for a second! A very versatile piece that goes well with almost everything! I think it’s a must-have!
So how did I do with floral on floral? 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, friends! I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
