Hello and happy new month, friends!
I Just can’t wrap my head around the fact that the year is closing to its end! To be honest with you, each and every month that has passed feels to me like it was just yesterday. The year has flown by so fast and there seemed to be a lot going on. I’ve got really busy with life, celebrated some good moments; and I can only be grateful for it all. October was my birthday month (read the dedicated post about it HERE) and I also got to celebrate two of my favorite people: my mom and my baby girl. They were both born on the same date (over half a century apart 🙂 ); and it’s such a special day for us. I shared a few pictures of my little diva on instagram… If you’re not following me there yet, you oughtta now! 🙂

Well, today’s post is a little recap of my style “escapades” this past month, but I also want to share with you a word of wisdom. As we’re stepping into this month of November and getting closer and closer to a new year; remember that even though you can’t go back and make a brand new start, you can start now and make a brand new ending.

Don’t just focus on what can’t be done, what you can’t afford, or what you can’t do! Change your focus to what you CAN do, what resources you have, and what step you CAN take to move forward. This is as much of a “note to self” as a whisper of motivation. Admittedly, I’ve had to learn this the hard way a few times over in my life; and that is something I’m working on bettering myself at.
Everything doesn’t have to be perfect. You just need to start and you can better yourself up along the way. I’ve wasted a few years in overthinking and overanalyzing goals and projects that could have seen the light of day already, and who knows where it would have taken me or maybe become that “big new thing” today… 😀 Am I regretting it? No, simply because it won’t change anything… and the show must go on. Or maybe it just wasn’t God’s timing. Am I planning on taking more actions and stop overanalyzing things and waiting on everything to be perfect before I make my moves? Definitely yes!
Wanting it, is not enough. Dreaming about it is not enough. Talking about it is most certainly not enough. Only actions will propel you forward! It’s the one commonality across the lives of legends, game-changers, and movers and shakers. They decided, then they acted!
