It’s that time of the year again; believe it or not, the holidays season is upon us and the degree of magic in the air when Winter arrives is just… oh so magical! Fun, interactive and festive moments are what we yearn for at this magical time of the year! Some of my family’s traditions when the weather calls for fuzzy socks, hot chocolate, marshmallow, and furry blankets is to just cuddle up, read holidays and winter books, watch Christmas movies, and built snowmen… Something my kids joyfully noticed is that Eli, the little character in the book “Eli’s first Winter carnival” and his family, have in common with our family!

Top-minneapolis-bloggerEli’s 1st Winter Carnival is a wonderful story of a sweet little boy’s adventures with his family and friends at a winter carnival. This being Eli’s first time attending the carnival, he just couldn’t contain his excitement. The carnival, as you can imagine, was full of fun activities that I will not quite unveil yet… 😉

Eli, the little protagonist, had so much fun with his family and friends, but the highlight of Eli winter carnival adventure was when… Well, I don’t want to be a spoiler. You should get this and discover all the exciting things that make this book so fantastic! 😉

Lisa Bowen, the author of this book, did a great job depicting a modern day, happy family life and fun outdoor activities with positive and fun interacting moments. Such a delightful book with beautiful illustrations; and so relatable! I immediately knew what the kids would want to have for dinner that night, when Eli’s mom has served them one of the most popular foods at my house for dinner… 🙂

Eli’s First Winter Carnival” is currently a top favorite around our house; and I honestly think this book will make a great gift for the littles ones. Get your copies now at amazon.

Spending that money on another gift? It’s ok, you can also win a free copy. Just head over to my Instagram to enter the giveaway that Lisa Bowen and I are currently hosting. The rules are really simple an you can be the lucky winner! Enter giveaway here 🙂

Hello beauties, and happy Monday!

I have been living in these leatherette pants from Universal Standard because they’re amazingly comfortable and go well with every top or sweater in my closet. The supple leatherette front and soft ponte back make a stylish and alluring look and hug my curves at the right place. The band at the waist makes it even more comfortable. Definitely a great addition to my closet! If you can’t really deal with leather pants, these might be worth trying. I love that the back is ponte, because that allows more versatile looks. Pair them up with stilettos, boots, or flats… you just can’t go wrong!

Cold season usually calls for cozy and comfortable looks and this easy style definitely is one cozy look, even with my high heels on. I thought it was cute pairing these ultra-comfortable pants with my ultra-comfortable faux-leather pocket sweater from l’Effet Glamour. Totally fun and appropriate for the weather. What do you think?

Hello beauties, and happy Tuesday!

If this top isn’t perfection, I don’t know what is! From the bright, cheerful and unique prints to the statement sleeves and the peplum detail, I can’t tell you enough how classy and beautiful this bold top is in person!!!

Style it with some slacks or a pencil midi skirt for the office or church; show it off with a flirty and fun mini skirt for a playful yet classy look or wear a collared shirt underneath for a more conservative yet chic look, and also appropriate for the cold weather. Definitely a wardrobe staple for all seasons.

top-fashion-bloggerAs you can tell there are so many stylish ways you can pull this Ankara blouse; the options are endless and I’m leaving it up to you to decide which route you would take when you get it. Or wouldn’t you? You know, you cannot afford not to. Lol! Hit Nomose up and she’ll hook you up! 😉 ; and because she’s really kind, she is giving all my readers 10% off their total order! Just tell her I sent you or use the special code: “HYPNOZGLAM” at checkout.

However you choose to style this elegancia beauty, you just can’t go wrong with it. The top comes with a matching teal waist stash, but for this look, I went with a black belt for an even bolder approach!

If you’ve been following me for a while now, you probably know that I love statement pieces (or statement sleeves), and believe me, this deep V-neck top will definitely be on repeat on the blog; But for now, allow me to show some legs while I still can, as it’s starting to freeze up here in the midwest… And oh! Isn’t this colorful mini skirt so cute?

It was actually part of my Victoria Beckham for Target‘s Haul a few months ago! I think that was my biggest haul this past Summer and trust me, I still have a few items left to be styled. – Click here, here , here , and here to check out some of the “VBFT” pieces that I have already shared here on the blog –

Well, that’s it for today, friends! I hope you enjoyed this post, and love this look as much as I do. Let me know in the comment session below what you think 😉

Hello and happy new month, friends!

I Just can’t wrap my head around the fact that the year is closing to its end! To be honest with you, each and every month that has passed feels to me like it was just yesterday. The year has flown by so fast and there seemed to be a lot going on. I’ve got really busy with life, celebrated some good moments; and I can only be grateful for it all. October was my birthday month (read the dedicated post about it HERE) and I also got to celebrate two of my favorite people: my mom and my baby girl. They were both born on the same date (over half a century apart 🙂 ); and it’s such a special day for us. I shared a few pictures of my little diva on instagram… If you’re not following me there yet, you oughtta now! 🙂

Well, today’s post is a little recap of my style “escapades” this past month, but I also want to share with you  a word of wisdom. As we’re stepping into this month of November and getting closer and closer to a new year; remember that even though you can’t go back and make a brand new start, you can start now and make a brand new ending.

Don’t just focus on what can’t be done, what you can’t afford, or what you can’t do! Change your focus to what you CAN do, what resources you have, and what step you CAN take to move forward. This is as much of a “note to self” as a whisper of motivation. Admittedly, I’ve had to learn this the hard way a few times over in my life; and that is something I’m working on bettering myself at.

Everything doesn’t have to be perfect. You just need to start and you can better yourself up along the way. I’ve wasted a few years in overthinking and overanalyzing goals and projects that could have seen the light of day already, and who knows where it would have taken me or maybe become that “big new thing” today… 😀 Am I regretting it? No, simply because it won’t change anything… and the show must go on. Or maybe it just wasn’t God’s timing. Am I planning on taking more actions and stop overanalyzing things and waiting on everything to be perfect before I make my moves? Definitely yes!

Wanting it, is not enough. Dreaming about it is not enough. Talking about it is most certainly not enough. Only actions will propel you forward! It’s the one commonality across the lives of legends, game-changers, and movers and shakers. They decided, then they acted!

Where you are today is probably not a “coup du hasard” like we say in French, but where you want to be tomorrow can definitely be a perfectly calculated equation!

Together, let’s take actions toward our goals!

I hope this new month brings you lots of love and light!

Fall is in full swing here now; and the temperature is dropping real fast! I’m starting to break into my Fall wardrobe; and according to the forecast we may be expecting our first batch of snow today! We are currently experiencing our first snow (showers) of the season. Boy, things are getting real serious! Ha!

Don’t get me wrong, I love autumn, and I even claimed it to be one of my favorite seasons of all seasons… And yes, I still stand by that statement. 🙂

Truth is, as much as we wish or pray for changes, we are not always ready to welcome them. Simply because, sometimes we are so much at ease with the present (in this instance, the sunny days of summer) that when we’re starting to see changes (even good ones) pertaining to different scenarios, we have all these doubts, feelings and thoughts arising.

Is it going to be ok? Is it going to be too cold? Isn’t it too good to be true? Is it going to be exactly what I wished for….. So many unanswered questions, that may leave us with the sentiment of discomfort or fear, fear of the unknown or the uncertainty.

Whatever we experience in life, we must chose to flow with it, because it makes it so much easier and interesting. We must be flexible to changes happening in life. The more accepting we are of changes, the easier that feels.

Change is inevitable, and unpredictable. In order to live a stress-free life, we must chose to accept the things we cannot change and allow for positive things to unfold in our life.

Change is a natural aspect of life. Change is a sign of life, and life is a series of change. Change can be a good thing and we must be ready to embrace it.

fall-inspiration-outfitTherefor, change is also about taking risks and not being afraid to fall or fail, because the risks you decide not to take today can be one decision away from a totally different life.

What risks are you taking today? What changes are you making, or are happening in your life? Whatever that is, if you can’t do anything about it, embrace it.

Don’t be afraid to fall
