Soft-and-moisturized-skin-careFor living in Minnesota for over a decade now, I’ve come to make peace with the idea that Winter will always be what is, for us Minnesotan, bitter Cold, freezing and harsh on our skin! That’s why, if you live in Minnesota (or in the midwest), upping your beauty game during this time of year to have a moisturized, well-hydrated, soft and supple skin is a MUST! That’s the reason why I have teamed up with Olay to join their Winter Skin Challenge – And I think you should too 🙂

All you need to do, is use the Olay Moisture Ribbons Plus to achieve your softest, most moisturized, and most hydrated skin all winter.

Having a beautiful skin that looks and feels great in winter isn’t impossible; and to achieve this baby-soft skin we all yearn for, I have been using my Olay Moisture Ribbons Plus religiously, but just one use was enough for me to notice a more radiant, and more moisturized skin. These luxurious body washes have made shower times “pampering sessions” for me, and it’s a real struggle trying to keep the kids’ hands off em. Oh, and isn’t it lovely when your significant other love the smell of a body wash you’re using and compliment you on it!?  (The opposite does happen too, unfortunately… Ugh)

Olay-moisture-ribbons-Plus The scents are divine and it’s a total bonus that they are therapeutic. They are formulated with a deep conditioning ingredients that includes Shea butter which is a great cleansing and moisturizing ingredient, and leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth as soon as you leave the shower. I usually use the Comforting Lavender scent in the evening. It is so delightful going to bed with baby soft and smooth skin with a a relaxing and comforting aromatherapeutic scent. The Olay Moisturize Ribbons Plus also comes in Manuka Honey, which smells so good and refreshing and is indulgent and rich with every wash. This scent has quickly become my favorite, plus we all know the amazing benefits honey has on skin.

Winter-skin-and-beauty-careIn all honesty, I have never been disappointed with any of the Olay products I’ve used in the past; and the Olay Moisturize Ribbons Plus is another successful launch of the brand! I’m thrilled to be part of this challenge as the Olay Moisture Ribbons plus is doing wonders to my skin.

Would you like to have a noticeable soft and more moisturized skin at just one use? Get the exact same products I’m using HERE or HERE now, and join me in the Olay Moisture Ribbons Plus Winter Skin Challenge! 😉

Happy Saturday beauties,

I hope you’re keeping warm and safe. I’m just making a quick stop here to share this All-Black outfit, I wore to a funeral a few weeks ago. It was a bitterly cold day, so I was unable to reveal my dress for the photoshoot. It was a black statement sleeve dress I previously shared Here! Overall, a classy and elegant appropriate look for the occasion.

I hope you have a fantastic day. XO

Hello beauties,

Happy Wednesday! I hope you’re getting ready for Christmas. I have to confess that I haven’t done any Christmas decoration yet. I have been extremely busy with work and projects on which I need to meet certain deadlines. I’m not really complaining, but the kids are eager to see at least the Christmas tree up, but mom won’t let them feel the magic of the season… just yet lol.

Since our family’s tradition is to have everyone involve in the decoration, I need to make this happen sometime soon. The plan is to make it all happen this weekend and I’m crossing my fingers. HA!

Anyways, I’m back with another #ootd: A turtleneck short sleeves top with some comfortable grey slacks I scored at Target a few weeks ago. This simple basic look can take you from the office to dinner with the girlfriends or from brunch to a get-together with friends or family. Sometimes, with such cozy yet not too cold weather, all you need is a nice and comfortable top or sweater and a pair of your favorite jeans or slacks to go on with your day. If needed at all, throw on a cute little cozy jacket to keep warm. Believe it or not, Mother nature is being extremely nice to us here, in the midwest, and I’m not really complaining. Who would, right!?

Well, I hope you like today’s outfit post, but before I sign off, I would like to leave you with a thought to ponder : When you feel as though you have nothing to give, you can always offer your gratitude.

Top-black-minneapolis-bloggerHappy Monday beauties,

It’s been a minute, but I’m back doing what I love. These last few weeks have been extremely busy and eventful, good and bad; joyous and sad… but I’m grateful for it all!  I can’t believe we only have 4 days left in November. Well, let finish the month strong. Meanwhile, mother nature has been kind to us here. When you’re still enjoying 50 degrees somedays in the winter, in the midwest, you don’t have to worry about global warming or anything. You just, take it all in and wait for the “bad” days to come and equally embrace them.

However, as a true Minnesotan, I know better to layer up, even when the weather seems nice; especially when it’s windy as it tends to be. Thanks to my wrap ponchos as seen in this outfit post, I can stay warm without burning out. My over-the-knee boots are also appropriate in this weather; and these suede-like burgundy boots from Just Fab are stunners.

Who doesn’t like to be bundled up in style? And for a more defined look, add an obi belt to your wrap poncho and voila.

Let me know what you think of today’s Fall/Winter look! XO

It’s that time of the year again; believe it or not, the holidays season is upon us and the degree of magic in the air when Winter arrives is just… oh so magical! Fun, interactive and festive moments are what we yearn for at this magical time of the year! Some of my family’s traditions when the weather calls for fuzzy socks, hot chocolate, marshmallow, and furry blankets is to just cuddle up, read holidays and winter books, watch Christmas movies, and built snowmen… Something my kids joyfully noticed is that Eli, the little character in the book “Eli’s first Winter carnival” and his family, have in common with our family!

Top-minneapolis-bloggerEli’s 1st Winter Carnival is a wonderful story of a sweet little boy’s adventures with his family and friends at a winter carnival. This being Eli’s first time attending the carnival, he just couldn’t contain his excitement. The carnival, as you can imagine, was full of fun activities that I will not quite unveil yet… 😉

Eli, the little protagonist, had so much fun with his family and friends, but the highlight of Eli winter carnival adventure was when… Well, I don’t want to be a spoiler. You should get this and discover all the exciting things that make this book so fantastic! 😉

Lisa Bowen, the author of this book, did a great job depicting a modern day, happy family life and fun outdoor activities with positive and fun interacting moments. Such a delightful book with beautiful illustrations; and so relatable! I immediately knew what the kids would want to have for dinner that night, when Eli’s mom has served them one of the most popular foods at my house for dinner… 🙂

Eli’s First Winter Carnival” is currently a top favorite around our house; and I honestly think this book will make a great gift for the littles ones. Get your copies now at amazon.

Spending that money on another gift? It’s ok, you can also win a free copy. Just head over to my Instagram to enter the giveaway that Lisa Bowen and I are currently hosting. The rules are really simple an you can be the lucky winner! Enter giveaway here 🙂

***I was provided a copy of this book from the author to facilitate this review. As always, all opinions are my own.
