Packing tips for your next Spring/Summer trip

Hello beauties!

This post has been inspired by my good friend Mireille AKA Zara la Chocolatée! Shout out to you Z! Not only for being a valuable friend, but also for being a great support system, cheerleader, and most importantly, for trusting me with your questions (they’re always welcome!) and believing in what I do! 😉 When Z asked me to help her put together a packing list for her next trip, I thought it was an easy task and, as I was completing the list, I came to realize how challenging and frustrating it can be to folks, especially if packing isn’t really your cup of tea. Then came in mind the idea of the next post on the blog. You all know I love to share anything that I believe would be useful and helpful. Perfect timing, right?!

So here are a few “must-take-with-you” items and packing & travel tips:

Jeans and shorts! If you love them, bring them, no matter what people will tell you! (They smell bad when wet, they’re too heavy and take up a lot of room etc…) You will miss them if you don’t!  Bring at least 2 pairs of each with you. They’re comfy, convenient, and always in style.

Tank tops, T-shirts, cami and/or off the shoulder tops will be your best friends. You can’t go wrong with any of those in a steamy hot weather.

– Maxi dresses and Maxi skirts! Any fashionista’s must-have! Whether strolling along a sandy white beach or a city sidewalk, a fluid maxi dress brings tranquil energy to every day.

Jean Jackets or cardigans. They always come to use. You never know when Mother nature will play tricks on ya!

A little black dress: A classic! Add a shawl for the cooler night and you’re ready to take on the city! Plus, as we, fashionistas say, when in doubt, always wear black!

To Smoothie Or Not to Smoothie!?

Green smoothie hypnozglam 2For the past few months,  I’ve been pretty consistent in my healthy eating habits journey; and I have to say that I’m happy about the changes that I’m seeing. We all know how beneficial it is for our overall health to eat clean. But most of the time, what we lack, once we made the decision to make a change and start the journey to a healthier, new, and  fabulous us, is the ability to stay on that path. Clean eating can be challenging but not hard. Just like for most things in life, discipline is key! #MindOverMatter. View Post

20 random facts about me!

Happy Tuesday Beauties,

Today, I decided to open up a little bit about myself. I’ve always been a very private person and putting myself out there has been a huge step for me.  Even though I try as possibly as I can to refrain from posting about my private life here, I still feel like somehow, a part of me is been revealed through each post that I’ve published… and to be honest, this journey has thought me a lot about myself that I didn’t realized existed, and the amazing opportunities that I’m encountering are such a blessing!

– Below are some random facts about me.

When he’s happy, I’m happy, we’re happy!

IMG_2115Hello world! And happy new month!

Last Saturday, we got to celebrate this amazing man’s birthday! It was a great day filled with joy and good vibes! Just like any significant other who ensures that their second half has the happiest of birthdays, I made sure my baby spends an awesome day! If you do not believe in the fact that happiness is contagious, you certainly haven’t encountered a truly happy person yet; because when the (happy 🙂 ) birthday king was (is) happy, I’m happy; we’re all happy! No pun intended 🙂 . Joy truly is contagious! Make sure you spend time with people who make you twice as happy!

We started the day with a refreshing couple-massage session, then had a family brunch at one of our favorite French restaurants in town. Later in the evening, we had a birthday dine-out with some close friends. The night was still young and filled with more suprises, laughters and joy! I have shared a couple pics with my friends on Instagram but you can see below for a quick glimpse 🙂

What are you thankful for?

Five orange pumpkins sit in a row in front of a distressed, wooden background.

Let’s give thanks!

I’ve probably stated this here before; maybe last Thanksgiving maybe not; I feel like it is something I will never get tired of saying. I feel like I really need to say it more often, so much that it sinks deep in the core of my being and yours. Gratitude is something we should express every single day. it’s a sentiment we should never cease to have. It should be our way of living. Life itself is to be grateful for. Some people do not have it anymore. Some others are fighting for theirs.

Many of the things that we take for granted are the simplest, smallest things. The food on the table, the family that loves us, the friends that got our back, the income we bring home, the things we enjoy doing that we can actually do, the simple fact that we are alive and well. I can go on and on. I can get very personal and tell you all the blessings that I’m counting, but I want to make this about you; yes if you’re reading this, I want you to know that there are so many blessings that are left to be counted, but we are so busy chasing the ones we think we don’t have that we actually can’t see the ones that have been bestowed upon us. Count your blessings! Today is a gift, tomorrow is not promised, so let’s celebrate life every single day. Let’s be thankful! Let’s count our blessings! Let us say our gratitude every single day because gratitude should be a way of living!

” Gratitude unlocks the fullness

of life. It turns what we have into

enough, and more. It turns denial into

acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to

clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast,

a house into a home, a stranger

into a friend.”
