African wears are becoming very popular all over the world, especially here in the US. I’ve had the privilege to be interviewed a few months ago by Radio FM Liberté based in Chicago, and I mentioned how amazing it is to see African fabrics or African wears in the fashion industry, especially in the occident! Even the celebrities are sporting the Dashiki, the Ankara, and many more… with style and grace! As a fashion lover and a style blogger, I find it very difficult not to want them all! Who wouldn’t, right!? Did I mention how stunning they are!? This African fabric blazer was a great addition to my closet. The print is beautiful and the cut is elegant… and it was love at first sight! I also love how versatile it is! Wear it casual with Jeans or think a little bit out of the box and dress it up with a skirt or a dress like what I did here to spice things up a bit. You cannot imagine all the compliments I’ve received the day I wore this ensemble :-). I’m sure this one will make its way to the blog again. – How would you guys style this?
Finally, I get to share my Birthday look with you lovelies! You can see some more on my instagram. Follow me – if you’re not already – to have more glimpses of what I do here and there. 🙂 . I wanted to look beautiful and super sexy as my husband and I (and a couple of friends… totally a surprise for me) had made plans for a fun dinner night in honor of the special day! You all know you can never go wrong with a sexy LBD and even though I’ve had this little black dress sitting in my closet for a little while now, I think it was the perfect LBD for the night, especially when I was told by a stranger that I do not look 35 but 25! 😉 I guess 35 is the new 25 then! 🙂 By the way, it was an amazing day and weekend all together filled with love, gifts, surprises, laugh and joy and I couldn’t have asked for a better celebration! Kudos to dear hubby and everyone involved of course.
I hope October is being good to you! As you may already know, last Saturday was my birthday and I had a blast! More on that coming soon… Promised. Today, I’m making a quick stop to share this look I wore the Sunday after my birthday, which actually was my darling friend’s (In the pic with me ) birthday! – Classic fall colors if you ask me. Thanks for reading!
When it’s officially Fall, but Mother Nature decides to gratify you with a beautiful and warm weather… maybe just one more time, you can’t help but take out one of your most feminine maxis and troll the city… And when you feel beautiful and feminine while the sun brazes your body maybe just one more time before the cold and snow hit the nation, you just can’t help but pose pretty for the camera! Enjoy the pics and have a lovely week, friends!
Another beautiful day to be grateful for! Dashiki is what most people calls it; some call it Angelina or Yamado… and it´s a cute fabric, but I wasn’t into it at first. Maybe because I’m not a big of a trend person, I mean, it’s everywhere! Everybody and their grandmas have it! 🙂 No offense friends 🙂 I seriously mean it: No offense and you know why? I’ve actually partnered up with a talented designer and sold a few of these at my event last month and it was a hit! 🙂 I mean, it’s cute and comfortable and It was a perfect Friday casual look when I had no clue what to wear that day. I added the belt for a little definition. And guess what, I’ve received many compliments. After all, Dashiki or not, trendy or not, sometimes, you can’t help but follow the trend. You can let me know if you would like to get on the trend and I ‘ll hook you up! 😉 Have a fabulous day loves! View Post
