Happy Friday beauties,
I can’t believe Thanksgiving is just a week away. What plans do you have? – Before I even start getting into more details with today’s outfit post, let me confess that I never thought I would be wearing sweatpants out… AND with heels. I have never done that before; but there’s always a first for everything right? Plus, isn’t Fashion all about taking risk and stepping outside of one’s comfort zone!? When I received these joggers from my friends at the Bblackbox Luxe (a contemporary brand that holds a philanthropic vision in fashion with a sustainable and minimalist outlook), I was eager to style them. I just didn’t know how. As far as I’m concerned, joggers are for the gym or a casual home wear… How was I going to keep my chic and glamour side that I like so much? 🙂 Then, I remembered seeing a couple of bloggers styling sweatpants with high heels and thought, why not? Weekends are all about comfort for me, especially when, running errands, grabbing a quick lunch with family or friends, or just spending fun time in the park with the kiddos… I will be the first to tell you never to sacrifice comfort for style.
I thought I’d pull this off and I had planned my outfit around these joggers. They came along right in time, as that weekend, my family and another family had planned a nice little brunch together in a kid-friendly restaurant. We then headed to a nearby park for a little quiet time for the parents and play time for the kids. That was where I had to change into more casual and appropriate shoes. Wearing these ankle boots with my new pants was something I wouldn’t have done before, but as I evolve in my fashion and blogging venture, I’m seeing myself taking some risks, and learning to step out of my comfort zone from time to time and being open minded. After all, fashion is supposed to be fun and it definitely has no rule nowadays. The truth is, I have to give credits to these super comfortable and soft joggers for living up to my expectation, and looking well-put together, even with heels. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have made it out the house unless I’m off to the gym. What do you think? Was it worth stepping out my comfort zone and styling these pants out of the house with heels?
