In a blink of an eye, the first week of the new year just came to an end. Needless, to say that before we know it, we will usher in a new month and here goes the circle of life again. Life gives us countless chances to get things right! New Years are often self-reflective and I hope this time, whatever you’re struggling with or working on, you strive to get right.

I’m ending off this first week of 2017 with a little black velvet dress and fur coat. The holidays may have come and gone but long live the festive looks we adorned during that period! If there’s one little thing I was proud of in 2016, it’s my ability to have shopped (mostly) in my closet, even for the greatest of occasions. I styled this velvet dress here, during the holiday seasons 2 years ago and here’s my take on it now. This perfect pair of red pumps and my favorite faux-fur coat took this outfit up a notch to the glamorous side. I kept the accessories to a minimum. Doesn’t this velvet sheer bell sleeve make enough statement on its own? Definitely a cute and elegant little black dress for a romantic date night with the mister. Here’s to my very first outfit post of 2017! I hope you like it! đŸ˜‰
