I seriously can’t believe we’re half-way through the year already! The month of May has particularly been overwhelming and emotional! The good news is it’s almost over; and I pray and hope for a more poised yet productive month of June. At times, life will happen and things may not always go the way we plan to or wish for, but we have to practice acceptance and patience in all circumstances, and see the bright side of any situation. A tough call, but a necessary one for the sake of our own sanity. We all go through one or two things in life, and the funny thing is that nobody ever really knows how much anybody’s going through, or what they are struggling with. We could be standing next to someone who’s completely broken without even knowing it. Such is life; and that is why it is important to be kind to one another, because we never know what battle the next person is fighting. If you’re reading this, I pray that whatever you’re going through, you take courage and have the heart to believe that better days are ahead!
My outfit posts on the blog have rather been on a slower pace these past few weeks, (Read more about it here) but I managed to share some pretty chic and fun looks with you. I realized that not only I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone a little and played with mixing prints and patterns in my latest posts, but most of my outfits were african-prints or Ankara-inspired, which I love! It’s always great embracing your roots. Even though I haven’t always worn African prints a lot growing up, I do love wearing them occasionally. What I’m fond of, however, is styling an ankara look which has a modern or contemporary twist to it, allowing me to stay true to my style and my personality; and that’s what I did with these looks. I would like to know which one is your favorite. 😉
