This past week has been a blur. I have wanted to share my thoughts here with you guys, but it has all seemed futile, as it wouldn’t really matter in the midst of this whole mess.
Even the thought of creating content non-related to what is transpiring in my city right now on top of the pandemic the whole world is facing in this period, just doesn’t seem right; yet I decided to share a few words with you guys.
I think it’s irrelevant for me to come out there and voice my sentiment in regards to the events that have transpired. However, It’s important for me to say that in face of injustice I encourage everyone, whether you have a platform or not to speak up and do something to bring a slight bit of a change in the world.
As Desmond Tutu said and I quote: “If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you are chosen the side of the oppressor.”
May our heart be filled with so much love for any and everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, or sexually, that we find no excuse in remaining silent in the face of injustice. All anyone can do is love, listen and wait.

I don’t think it’s at all irrelevant for you to share your thoughts and feelings on what’s happening in the U.S – and other countries too. I’ve been doing a lot of reading and listening so that I can understand better and contribute to making a change. We’ve had BLM marches in several cities in the UK and many statues of men who were involved in the slave trade have been taken down. I hope we can keep the momentum going and finally root out racism in all its forms. On a lighter note, I love your tracksuit. Thanks so much for linking up!

I would absolutely love to hear your thoughts and feelings! I don’t think they are irrelevant at all.
I am hoping that we as a society can come together and dismantle the racist system that is long overdue a big reform. I am taking this time to educate myself more on being a better ally.
