If you are a regular on my blog, it’s no secret to you now that hubby and I have celebrated our wedding anniversary about a couple of weeks ago. It was August 6th precisely, and to inquiring minds, this year make our 9 years anniversary in the holy matrimony and 19 years as a married couple in the supreme court. Yeah, I know it sounds too complicated for some of you all, but where I am from, it’s pretty common to be legally married a few months or years before tying the knot in church before God and men. I will spare you the details here. 🙂

Anyways, back to the main purpose of this post, which is sharing a little bit of our wedding anniversary escape with you lovelies. We’ve planned about a year ago to travel to Mexico for our anniversary; and then life happened and Covid-19 became a thing. A serious one! So a few months into the pandemic, we’ve decided to cancel our trip due to the obvious safety reasons. I’m sure a lot of you have or are experiencing this. However with things getting somehow better, we put our traveling plan back on the table, only this time, we decided to make it closer to home, and a family trip. Hence, Las Vegas!

Hubby and I have been to Vegas a couple of times in our college years (wink wink) but we thought it would be a good idea to make it a family trip, so the girls can also discover the so-talked-about city of Vegas.
We’ve Stayed at the Wynn Hotel and we couldn’t have made a better choice for this trip. The Wynn and Encore resort is a beautiful place which pretty much kept us busy during our stay.

From the amazing restaurants to the designers stores, the seven bars and lounges, to the three shopping esplanades, five pools, two salons, two spas, the golf course… Even though a few entertaining places are currently closed because of the pandemic, we still had a lot of fun touring and enjoying the resort, spending much needed relaxing time at the spa and in the pool, visiting some of the stores, and just enjoying the beautiful scenery and the food.

Some of the restaurants we ate at were Tableau at the Wynn, Allegro (an Italian restaurant), Buffet at the Wynn… The food everywhere was delicious specifically themed; and the atmosphere was just gorgeous and pleasant.

However, I have to say the Costa Di Mare, where we had our wedding anniversary dinner, was the best of all! Renowned for its seafood flown in daily from coasts of Italy and the European’s waters, the 5-star restaurant serves regional specialties overlooking its romantic lagoon. Ah-mazing! It was a great fine dining experience with scrumptious meals and amazing views. I will definitely eat there again!

We also get to tour the strip with the girls (Hello hot weather!!!) and one of their favorite places to have been was the Mme Tussauds Museum! If you are not familiar with this museum, it’s a major tourist attraction displaying the waxworks of famous and historical figures, as well as popular film and television characters and famous actors. There are a few of the Mme Tussauds museums around the states and the world.

They also had a great time experiencing indoor skydiving for the first time, visiting the venetian resort. The one thing that was very important to us when deciding to take this trip is the safety and prevention measures about Covid-19. I’m pleased to share that our experience from the airport/flights to the hotel we stayed at and the places we visited were all into consideration and well-being of the people. The Wynn and Encore resort had a mandatory face mask policy during our stay, and it was very well supervised to enforce this rule! We could barely take off our masks for pictures purposes, and you know, for me, it was quite a bit of a struggle, but again it’s for the best of us all and I couldn’t complain. I did manage to take a few pictures to the best of my abilities, and protection of myself and others, so stay tuned as I will be sharing all these #ootd with you guys in upcoming posts.

Our tower suite was equipped with sanitary essentials in case you needed them, and in every corner of the resort, sanitizer stations were displayed for all guests and employees’ needs. We have been impressed by the precautionary measures, to say the least, but again we live in an uncertain and trying period and I invite everyone to make any trip’s decision at their own risk and consideration.

In conclusion, Vegas was fun, and we had a great time celebrating our anniversary away from our busyness. Coming back home was dreading, especially for the kids, but hey, there’s a reason why it’s called a “vacation” isn’t it?! So here’s my little recap and I hope it was worth your time and I hope you enjoy the pictures. Please leave your thoughts and comments for me below. 🙂

As always, thank you for stopping by.
XOXO,
Edwige
