I’m coming with another great collaboration with a brand that I absolutely love! I have collaborated with Nadiaka Vêtements a few years ago on a New York fashion show event and it was one for the book.
This time along, our collaboration is more so on featuring some of their pieces on the blog; and I can tell you that I had a great time styling and shooting this dress! I call this dress Fall In love with Nadiaka, because the dress reminds me of the beautiful hues of Fall and it so aspiringly exudes a fresh new chapter as the weather is getting cooler, pumpkin patches arise, and pumpkin spice lattes fill the air with their enticing aroma. Hummm…
Everything about this dress screams the modern day traditional gal, and I played around this concept by styling it with these fall high-knee boots, a nice long coat, and a cute fedora hat – instead of the matching head wrap that came with the dress – to completed the look. My goal is to show my audience that an Afrocentric dress can be styled in all seasons and transformed into a beautiful Afro-American fusion.
The art work on this dress is beautiful and the fit is elegant and regal! It gives me that “Rich aunty vibe”, like the folks on Instagram would say.😀 As you can see from how I styled this dress, it can easily transition into all seasons.
Wear it as it is, or adorned with the beautiful matching head wrap in the Summer or Spring and go about your day. Add a coat or layer it up with a turtleneck underneath in the colder weather and jazz it up with some nice accessories and you have yourself a fall or winter look. Either way, this is a statement ethnic dress that can’t go unnoticed, so have fun styling it!
Now let me tell you what I love about this designer and their brand! The quality of their garments is nothing short of amazing; their craft and workmanship is outstanding and their eye for artistic designs when it comes to their ethnic clothes and accessories is just astonishing! For years, this designer had remain authentic to her brand and her vision and continues to deliver amazing styles and work… and, yes, she’s black-owned! * I have to throw that in, since we are all making an effort to support more black-owned businesses with everything going on around us. * The truth of the matter is, this is a brand that I love, and I’m happy to represent!
Make sure to visit her site, www.nadiaka.com , and her handles: Nadiaka Vêtements on social media to see more of her work… And if you think this dress is gorgeous, wait to see the other pieces that I will be sharing.😉
