Hi Beauties,
I’m one of those people who don’t necessary wear their new clothes right after they purchased them. It’s not for any particular reason, but again it could be for any reasons you may find in the book; plus I’m not too keen on returning items, unless I really need to. Well, I said all that just to say that this particular dress is one of those pieces that have been sitting in my closet for over a year now.
Some people may argue that if you haven’t worn something for that long, you should have gotten rid of it… which is a de-cluttering rule of thumb that I agree with. However, there’s always an exception to every rule, right? 🙂
Now that I got that out of the way, let’s talk about the dress, shall we?
I wouldn’t say it was love at first sight, but I was intrigued by the unique design. The color blocking combination has also drawn my attention. The dress looked bossy and oversized on the model; it wasn’t a style I would usually be drawn to, but I have been stepping out my comfort zone a lot more lately, and I knew I would make it my own. If you’ve been following me for a while, you probably know my love for classy and unique pieces. Even though I don’t completely shy away from the trends, I love that this dress is a combination of both.
As I mentioned earlier, the color blocking colors work for my taste, but I’m also pleased with the rushing details in the sleeves and across the front to the side of the dress. The overall fit and quality of the dress is amazing. It’s lightweight and breathable enough for Spring and will certainly take you into a cooler season as well.
There are so many stylish ways this dress can be styled: With sneakers or boots, with flats or heels. You can dress it up or down, you can layer it up in fall and Winter… but I chose to style it with these Shoedazzle jeweled gladiators wedges. These shoes have been a hit when I shared them first on my Instagram! Such a beautiful and statement pair of shoes. I love them and I think they compliment the dress in an elegant and classy way with a hint of glamour. What do you think of this outfit?
