5 holiday activities ideas you can do with family and friends

Creative-holidays-ideas-hypnozglamThe holiday season is upon us; and there’s no better time of the year to spend fun and quality time with loved ones. Even though a lot of things have changed, and big group activities may not be recommended or allowed, there’s still creative ways to enjoy the holidays with your family and friends. Below are some pretty creative ideas that you can implement into your holiday activities this year.
5 holiday activities ideas you can do with family and friends:
1- Get yourself comfortable in some matching PJ’s or loungewear, and go through old photos or videos of you and your family, around a charcuterie board. Going down memory lane, especially in these times, makes us realize how blessed we are to still be here, and how grateful we should be to have one another.christmas-2021-hypnozglam.2- Movie and Popcorn is always a great idea, and never goes out of style. It’s one of family traditions to binge watch Christmas or holidays movies (new and old) during the holidays season; and it never gets old!
If you haven’t watched “KING RICHARD” yet, it’s currently in theater and it’s a very inspiring life story of the Williams sisters and their family. It’s a good movie to watch as a family. My family and I enjoyed it.

3- Just like movie nights, you can never go wrong with game nights. Gather around some nice appetizers and play some of your favorite board games such as  Monopoly or Scrabble. – “Ride the Bus” a fun game which is a unique spin on the game 31 based on riding a school bus is quickly becoming a favorite in our family πŸ™‚

Some other fun games to consider are “Tom and Jerry River Recycle” Or Zoo Trivia: Animal names spelling. our family new favorite game.
Make it extra fun and let the winner either make the rules for the next game or come up with something creative and enticing… 😉

4 – Make someone smile by sending them a warm greetings card, a gift basket or handwritten note. It could be someone you know that is struggling with something, or a total stranger in a nursing home, for example. This time of the year is, unfortunately, tougher for a lot of people; especially those who find themselves alone and far away from family.

5 – Last but not least: Drive through neighborhoods that have some beautiful holiday lights, and just bask in the glow and spirit of it. Even if you don’t celebrate Christmas, Christmas lights and decorations are just magical and so much fun to watch! πŸ™‚

Let me know if you will do any of these holidays ideas. More importantly, do share with me and your fellow reader how you like it; and if you would recommend it to friends and family. 😉

Happy Holidays,

XO,

Edwige

White Cut out Midi Dress

white-cut-out-midi-dress

Hello beauties,
How is November here already! October came and, in a blink of an eye, was gone… I might be biased, but I missed October already; and wished it was still here for a little while longer. πŸ™‚

It’s been pretty busy on my side of the hood, so in all fairness, I didn’t see the time fly by. I took these pictures on my birthday, – October, 3rd – and as you can see, I was in a mood of total excitement; and I wanted to do something different with my hair:-).

This dress may not be perfect for this new weather we are currently experiencing, but maybe with a little bit of layering,  you can get away with it.
It’s a pristine A-line white dress with the perfect length. I love the cut in the waist that goes in the back. A cute and classy way to show a bit of skin.  I wore the dress to my birthday brunch with my family and have gotten a lot of compliments on this outfit. While I wasn’t able to capture the whole outfit from head to toe, I did share a behind-the-scenes video on my Instagram page, so make sure you are following me there if you wish to see more.

Off I go! πŸ˜‰

Purple Ethnic Maxi Dress Set

Happy Tuesday, beauties.

Have you ever come across a beautiful piece of cloth or in this instance, a dress set that is so beautiful that  you just want it to shine on its own? That was my exact feeling when I was putting together this look.
This deep purple ethnic fabric is such a stunner, that I felt like I didn’t want to dress it up much. It’s also fair to say that you actually don’t need to. Like I said earlier, this set makes a statement on its own. The  tie-dye deep purple alone is very eye catching, and the intriguing ethnic embroidery in front of the sleeveless maxi underneath is a work of art, and definitely  a conversation starter. The pictures didn’t do justice to this beautiful and vibrant set; but I’m sure you can agree on how stunning it is.

For this shoot, I went for a semi casual vibe by adding a cute and simple top-handle woven bag, and a fun hair piece to accessorize the dress. As for my shoes, I chose these bold floral green sandals for that elegant yet cheerful finishing touch.

How did I do? Would wear this set? You can also actually wear them separately, as the duster/long vest isn’t connected to the sleeveless maxi dress.

XO

Black Polka Dot Chiffon Maxi Dress

Beautiful-black-pilka-dot-maxi-dress

Hello Beauties.

Can we just pause the time for a second? It feels like October was here like yesterday, and we are already half way through it. I can’t believe there’s less than 3 months left in this year. This year, I shamelessly skipped on Fall décor in my house, and only focused on our dining room table. I mean, in a couple of weeks we will be celebrating Thanksgiving, here in the US, and then every single aisle in every store will be filled with Christmas and holidays items… So yeah, no Fall décor this year, kiddos. πŸ™‚

Anyways, today’s post features an outfit shoot that has happened a while ago, so basically another lost file that is making its way to the blog. πŸ™‚

I have to admit that with me not being able to have photoshoot frequently nowadays, these lost files are “life-savers”; maybe not to that extreme, but I’m sure you got the point, Plus,  I can’t help but share this dress with you. Especially with the holiday season around the corner, I’m sure you ladies need some options here on the blog. Thank you for trusting me with that, by the way. πŸ™‚

They say polka dots make everything perfect, and I have to agree. The polka dots details on this plain chiffon black dress, absolutely makes a difference … and it is even so much prettier in person. The chiffon material flows beautifully and elegantly as you walk, and against the wind.

I would wear this dress to a formal and semi-formal event or on occasions that I just need to give more than the “Little Black Dress”. I think it’s classy and elegant and you can’t go wrong with it, whether you choose to dress it up to the nine, or keep it less formal by pairing it with a pair of sandals like I did here.
Now here comes the one million dollars question… What do you think of this dress? Would you wear it?

Make sure to let me know in the comment session, and click on the links below to shop today’s outfit.

Off I go.
