Happy 4th of July | Mustard-Yellow Summer Look

 

Happy 4th of July, everyone.

June had come and gone in a blink of an eye. It’s unreal to think that we’re already halfway through the year. On the other hand, family and work have kept me very busy and that’s the reason why I haven’t been really consistent around here; but I promise to do my best and show up as often as I can.

I have had the opportunity to shot this mini-shoot a few weeks ago, and I was glad to be back in the swing of thing and however incertain the frequency, I’m still happy I get to do it.
You may (especially if you follow me on instagram) or may have not noticed, but yellow is my new black. As a matter of fact, yellow had always been one of my favorite colors, but it has been on heavy repeat lately and I’m not complaining 🙂

These mustard-yellow pants from Amazon The Drop have been in my wardrobe for a little while now, but it’s a good oldie. I paired them with this fun and cute spaghetti straps top I purchased a while ago as well. I finally decided to take it out for a spin this Summer, and I’m glad I did. I felt all cute and serene in these Minneapolis streets. Such a fun and elegant summer look that I would wear to brunch,  a fourth of July or graduation party. Would you wear it?

Minnesota Fashion Week Ambassador Mixer Event

Fashion Week Minnesota was a total hit this past April. Many shows were sold out and the events were full of amazing local talents. Even though I have watched most shows in the comfort of my Pj’s, because I was under the weather and was nursing myself back to health at the time, I enjoyed every bit of it, thanks to the Fashion Week MN team that made sure to kindly broadcast the shows live on Instagram.

I’m part of the Fashion Week MN class of 2022 ambassadors program, and prior to the shows, I had the honor to attend the Fashion Week Ambassador Mixer Event at the Can Can Wonderland in Saint Paul, MN. It was a beautiful and fun experience altogether, and also a great opportunity to sip and mingle with like-minded fashion enthusiasts, fashionistas, and influencers; and who can say no to some photoshoot sessions? Not me, anyways! 🙂

The event has been sponsored by Can Can Wonderland in Saint Paul, who provided the venue and food;  Patron and Press Seltzer made sure we were good on beverages and Buttercream Wedding Cakes came through with the delicious desserts. As far as my outfit goes, I kept it real simple and elegant. The statement piece of my outfit was my Brazilian gold necklace set, that has gotten many compliments. – Message me to order –  It was still a chilly night in the Midwest, so this classy soft satin trench coat was the perfect pair to my form-hugging sleeveless mustard midi dress. I think both colors complemented each other nicely; Sometimes even in the world of fashion week, less is more. 🙂 – Enjoy the pictures.

How to elevate your Denim look with a Blazer

Styling a blazer with a denim is an easy and quick way to elevate your look for any occasion. In this post, I’m sharing with you an elevate casual chic look that can take you from the office to a casual night with friends, or in my case from a business meeting to running errands in town – A quick swap of shoes from heels to sneakers was all I had to do – ; and since Spring calls for bright and pastel hues, this purple blazer is quite a staple for the season. If you follow me on Instagram you would’ve seen how styled the blazer three different ways with the same shoes. in a recent reel. Blazers are very chic and can be paired with any piece in your closet. All you need to do is have fun with your creative mind, and play with pieces that will compliment the blazer… and don’t be afraid to play with fun colors and patterns too.

Blue sweater dress

Hey beauties,

Even though Minnesota is pretty good at playing bipolar during this time of the year, I have to admit that it’s starting to feel more and more like Spring here; and I’m loving it!

What have you guys been up to? As you can imagine, I have been quite busy with life and, as much as I would want to be more frequent here, it’s just not that easy these days… With Mother’s around the corner, this weekend I plan to spend some much needed quality time with my family, and hopefully a couple of hours of “Me time” lol.

This baby blue sweater dress is quite a beauty but the picture didn’t really do justice to it. I have styled it differently in the winter with some white boots and white fur coat for a a network event and I got tons of compliments. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to take pictures the first time I styled but this time around I went a more casual and monochromatic route by pairing the dress with these baby blue sandals.
I did have a “what if” moment so in some of the shoots I added this oversized rose hair piece and I loved it. The color contrast was perfect and the hair piece added a nice fashionable touch to the dress.

Floral Tiered Maxi Dress for Spring

How is your week going? I have been extremely busy, booked and blessed; and I can only be grateful for the blessings. April is full of excitement: I have attended Fashion Week Minnesota class of 2022 Ambassador Mixer, and it was a lot of fun. Fashion Week Minnesota is in a few days and I’m looking forward to it. If you live in the Twin Cities and love Fashion, you should come enjoy the many shows they’re producing. The events are selling out really fast, but there are still a few tickets left for some of them.
